NADA 2020 Show Recap
What a fantastic NADA! Thanks to those of you who stopped by to see the new Elead booth and learn about our exciting new products and enhancements. We had a wonderful time meeting new clients and catching up with existing partners and friends.
If you missed the show, don’t worry! We’re here to recap it all for you and keep you up-to-date on the hottest highlights of NADA 2020.
The Next Big Thing: Online Shopping Behavior
Consumer online shopping behavior was a hot topic on the floor this year. Automotive retailers understand that communicating smarter leads to better customer experience and will help sell cars faster. The best way to make your customers happier is to get to know them better – and aggregating data with online tracking tools are the best way to gain this insight for more personal follow-up.
Digital Retail 2.0
Digital retail has been a big topic for some time, but this year’s buzz focused more on creating a seamless experience from online to showroom. Buyers want a connected end-to-end experience, and retailers that can provide that level of integration will be a step ahead in 2020.
Full-coverage Live BDC Services
BDC services have always been an important component to dealership success, and this year is no exception. However, as dealers evolve to provide information faster and offer the customer experiences consumers demand, full-coverage live BDC services, including both phone and email, are becoming the norm. Auto retailers who stay on top of their phone and email processes, whether fully external or in a hybrid model, are likely to see a higher ROI.
The Customer Experience Is King
In the closing general session, General Motors Chairman and CEO Mary Barra explained that “We’re seeing technology transform everything we see and the custom is changing.” Our conversations with dealers on the show floor all echoed this sentiment. The customer’s experience with your dealership is more important than ever, and tools and processes that support good interactions are paramount. From seamless online-to-showroom processes, to fixed ops/service technology, making the process of buying or servicing a car easier for a customer is necessary to lift profits in 2020.
