BDC services have always been an important component to dealership success, and this year is no exception. However, as dealers evolve to provide information faster and offer the customer experiences consumers demand, full-coverage live BDC services, including both phone and email, are becoming the norm. Auto retailers who stay on top of their phone and email processes, whether fully external or in a hybrid model, are likely to see a higher ROI.
The Customer Experience Is King
In the closing general session, General Motors Chairman and CEO Mary Barra explained that “We’re seeing technology transform everything we see and the custom is changing.” Our conversations with dealers on the show floor all echoed this sentiment. The customer’s experience with your dealership is more important than ever, and tools and processes that support good interactions are paramount. From seamless online-to-showroom processes, to fixed ops/service technology, making the process of buying or servicing a car easier for a customer is necessary to lift profits in 2020.
