NADA 2019 Recap: Hot Trends and Takeaways
Each year dealers, industry experts and automotive professionals head to NADA Expo to catch a preview of the hottest technology and keep up with the latest automotive retail trends. We want to thank our existing and new clients, as well as industry friends who visited our booth and helped us achieve record-breaking success.
Did you miss the show? It’s not too late to join the conversation. Here are some of the biggest highlights from day two of NADA, and we’re still far from over.
Customer Experience Leads the Conversation
With auto consumers demanding a more effortless and transparent retail experience, it’s little wonder that customer experience was still one of the hot topics for NADA. For another year, the most forward-thinking dealers are examining every aspect of the customer experience –from shopping and purchase to intake and delivery -seeking better ways to engage customers on their terms with every interaction.
Equally of interest this NADA was the dealership customer experience, or how dealers interact with the vendors and technology providers they choose. Successful dealers tell us they prioritize support, user-friendly technology and partners who are continually improving the day-to-day experience for both their customers and staff.
Focus on Digital Retailing
Digital Retailing was all the buzz at NADA 2019, which speaks to the larger trend of meeting today’s automotive shoppers on their terms – providing technology that offers them the convenience to shop when, where and how they want.
We were excited to share a new integration between CDK Connected Store and DealBuilder Showroom providing consumers and dealers a seamless sales experience from online to the showroom floor.
Big Data and Beyond
As with previous years at NADA, data is a hot topic for dealers this year. Today’s dealerships collect data from hundreds of sources, making it more critical than ever to capture consumer data in systems that provide actionable insights to improve customer experiences and dealership performance.
Dealers are seeking deeper integrations between CRM, DMS, Digital Retail and Fixed Ops technology. This will be a major topic of conversation in 2019 as we continue to optimize the consumer and dealer experience with our product, especially providing CDK DMS users with deeper integrations into the end to end sales workflow as well as more robust solutions for dealers who with other major DMS providers or using partner technologies
